Café MellemFolk is a non-profit café in Aarhus, that is driven by volunteers for the people. It's an oasis for diversity and sustainability, and everyone is welcome. The organisation behind the café is Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke (ActionAid Denmark), which is a human rights organisation fighting for global justi

ce, equality, diversity and sustainability. Values that will be found in the café. Besides Café MellemFolk, Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke also have a hostel and another café. They are called GlobalHagen and MellemRummet, and both can be found in Copenhagen. The profit will go to a project in a developing country.

✨VOLUNTEER HIGHLIGHT✨

“Spending time at the café made me want to be part of the community.”

Julie joined as a volunteer with Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke in May 2024. After spending time at the café and falling in love with its atmosphere, Julie started helping out behind the bar along with getting involved in the campaign work.
The café offers a way to take part in subtle, everyday activism, where small actions can make a real difference while spreading a political message - and it’s a great way to gain experience working in a café, as Julie mentions while steaming the oat milk for the matcha latte🍵
