A few condiments that went into my Taco Buffet made in Helsinki: homemade salsa verde, satini pomdeter (mauritian: mashed potato with chilli and fried onions), frijoles, red cabbage with mint, pan seared pimientos, chipotle marinated chicken.

FORAGING RIBES SPICATUM There is only one variety of red currants that is native to Finland, namely the downy currant (Ribes spicatum). The berries of cultivated red currants are picked from July to August.
The juicy, bright red berries are highly acidic and very tart. They are seldom eaten fresh or unsweetened. In Finland, red currant is used mainly to make jams, jellies, juices and wines.

"Pwason salé" is salted fish, usually cooked in Rougaille (red tomato salsa with ginger, onions and garlic as a base, usually including coriander or thyme).

My version is a dryer one:
⚪️Fresh coconut pulp painfully retrieved from the shell 😅
⚪️Mint from Saija's Helsinki Garden
⚪️ Tamarind pulp
⚪️ Garlic and Green Chilli ( usually I would use regular green chillies, this time i switched to Serrano as I made this for a condiment to my Taco Buffet Cookout.
Mum would be proud 😂🧡

🍣Lots to taste at cantine style sushi joint
The all-you-can-eat sushi buffet at €17 including , , drinks. 🦀Their crab and tofu summer roll was my fav! And endless ebi-tempuras I could have had a heart attack. Apparently the lunch deal buffet is around 10 bucks.

Someone asked so here it is
🍠🥣
1.glaze chopped carrots and reserve
2. Saute 1 large onion, garlic, ginger, and any spice u want to use to set the flavor of the dish- i used cumin, tumeric & cinnamon
3. Throw in chunks SPotatoes, level with water, slow cook low-med fire 1 hr while turning sometimes.Add some tomato puree.
4.add lentils, cook another 1-2 hours depending on time u have. Add tamarind/or another sour.
5. Add carrots and blanched broccoli for ex. for a crunchier contrast
6. Let simmer for about 10mins.
7. For finishing herbs i used parsley and mint. Thats also ur choice.
8. Touch of lemon juice.

I dont usually do recipes as i cook something different everytime, so use it as a guide and experiment for urself!
