Back in June, at the World of Coffee in Brussels, we had the chance to meet the Hartmann family in person - and instantly fell in love with their passion for coffee and their uncompromising approach to quality!
Now, we’re incredibly happy to bring you the second coffee this year directly from Finca Hartmann.

Meet THE GOLDEN NUGGET 🇵🇦
A special Yellow Maragogype grown in Santa Clara, Panama, and naturally processed by the Hartmann family themselves. And this one is seriously special.

🫐 Dark berries
🍬 Almost candy-like sweetness
🌸 Delicate floral complexity

There’s something incredibly elegant about this coffee. Alongside the deep berry character and intense sweetness, we find a light floral note that reminds us of a very special coffee blossom tea we once tasted in Brazil.
Unusual. Elegant. Complex. Yet incredibly approachable.

Our beloved Fig & Mascarpone Tart is here again - made with perfectly ripe seasonal figs, fresh and creamy mascarpone, and a generous sprinkle of finely chopped pistachios.

A PEACHY SUMMER IN EVERY SIP 🍑☕️

If you could bottle an endless late-summer evening, it might taste exactly like THE PEACHY TRYST.

This extraordinary coffee comes from Srima9 Farm in Chiang Rai, Thailand, where Joe & Mild are experimenting with creativity, precision and plenty of passion.

A blend of Bourbon, Typica & Catimor was co-fermented with homegrown, dehydrated peaches directly on the farm before being Washed.

The result?

🍑 Ripe peaches
🍬 Sweet fruit-candy notes
🍯 An intensely juicy, almost syrupy texture

THE PEACHY TRYST is playful, vibrant and seriously juicy — the kind of coffee that tastes like summer refusing to end.

With THE BOURBON SNIFFER, we present one of our most exciting projects to date – a coffee where we decided to step into the role of the experimenters ourselves.

In March of this year, we asked ourselves a simple question: Why should farmers and producers be the only ones experimenting with ageing and maturation processes? So, we set out to find a previously used wh***ey barrel and eventually discovered a finishing cask that had once held an Islay Single Malt.

For this project, we selected a Washed coffee from Oaxaca, Mexico. The blend of the Bourbon, Typica and Mundo Novo varieties spent more than six weeks ageing inside the cask, gradually absorbing the volatile aromatic compounds of both the wood and its previous contents. The green coffee was then vacuum-sealed for a further two weeks, allowing the flavours and aromas to stabilise and further develop before we finally roasted it.

The result is not a flavoured coffee, but a carefully developed barrel-finishing process that combines the coffee’s own character with the smoky, maritime and spicy influences of an Islay wh**ky – without overpowering or masking its origin.

In the cup, the coffee is reminiscent of a wh***ey on the rocks: distinctive peaty Bourbon notes meet a vibrant citrus freshness, while a pronounced sweetness of vanilla and caramel brings everything together, resulting in a balanced and long-lasting cup.

THE BOURBON SNIFFER proves that our first barrel-finishing experiment has become exactly what we had hoped for. At the same time, it marks the beginning of a series of further experiments in which we aim to explore and push the boundaries of what is possible with green coffee.

Meet THE BOURBON SNIFFER 🥃 our first-ever barrel-finishing experiment, and one of the wildest coffees we’ve created so far! 🤯

We started with a simple question: why should producers have all the fun? So we got our hands on a finishing barrel that previously held an Islay Single Malt and put a washed coffee from Oaxaca, Mexico inside.

This blend of Bourbon, Typica & Mundo Novo spent more than six weeks in the barrel, followed by two weeks of vacuum conditioning before roasting.

The result? Not flavored coffee. Not wh***ey. Something entirely different! Think wh***ey on the rocks:
🥃 Peaty, smoky Bourbon character
🍋 Bright citrus freshness
🍦 Vanilla sweetness
🍮 Rich caramel notes

The coffee still speaks for itself - the barrel simply adds another layer of complexity, bringing smoky, maritime and spicy Islay character into the cup.
