POETRY & PASTA
This Saturday, Poetry & Pasta with Otis Mensah
Otis Mensah is a British-born, Berlin-based writer and interdisciplinary artist working across literature and sound. Drawing from a rich lineage of Black musicality, their poetic-sonic practice derives multidimensional text from childhood, dreaming and nature. By queering and subverting biblical scripture and parable, their work uses magical realism to muddy the waters of memory and archival material.
Following their tenure as the first Poet Laureate of Sheffield, Otis published Safe Metamorphosis with Prototype London and has read at Glastonbury Festival and performed alongside Moor Mother, Benjamin Zephaniah and Little Simz.
Join us for an intimate evening of poetry and conversation, accompanied by handmade pasta and Italian w**e. We’ll also be listening to Otis’s latest album.
