After an appropriate period of mourning, we’re ready to announce our first event after closing: Sundaeguk (순대국) Sunday! Those of you who remember our brunch service will remember the star of the show, our traditional, handmade-in-house Korean blood sausage soup - the peak of Korean soul food 💞

This is a special one cause Ji’s parents are in town and we’re putting them to work so come have a shot of soju with her dad and get the real ajjoshi experience🫰🏼

Dotori has been at the center of our lives for the last 3 years. Closing a chapter is always bittersweet, but we couldn’t have asked for a better send-off than the celebration we had this past Sunday.

👻 OBITUARY ☠️

Dotori Korean Anju Bar of Gustav-Adolf-Straße 159, Weißensee, Berlin is scheduled to pass peacefully on Sunday, 30 August 2026, after losing a long battle with German bureaucracy.

Dotori was known for a rotating menu of Korean Anju, traditional Korean drinks, natural w**e, the loveliest guests and excellent service.

Dotori is survived by parents Natural W**e Berlin and , more than 10 children and in the dearly held memories of our guests.

Last rites and funeral will be held on 30 August from 14-21h at Gustav-Adolf-Str 159 in Berlin Weißensee. The service will be officiated by Skin II Skin Contact. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made via purchase of w**e specials, Korean street food, posters and remaining t-shirts.

Dotori Korean Anju Bar will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew them.

Mourners are kindly requested to dress in dark clothing and/or Halloween costumes.

Last weekend we had the incredible opportunity of collaborating with the lovely people and bringing Korean Imokase to the Uckermark.

We had such a great time with Claude, Hannes, Johannes, Felice, Elena and PINOT BLANC, big thanks to all of them for the fantastic food, the big laughs and the great teamwork.

To all the guests that showed up despite the chaotic weather and engaged so genuinely with us - 사랑해!!! It was really so healing to be in such a beautiful place with such lovely people 🥹🫶

Finally to the local producers for the stunning produce, meat and even local eel(!!)🙏😋

We love Dotori and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built - our team past and present, the many collaborations & events and the memories shared with all of you. Thank you all for being part of it.

Due to a recent decision by the Amt we are faced with a seating limitation that will not allow us to continue running sustainably in this location.

Running Dotori together was a great experience- We learned so much and we both want to thank you from bottom of our hearts for being part of this journey.

Our current last day of service is 18 July with a closing party on 19 July.

As we look ahead, we’re exploring new opportunities - likely elsewhere in Europe, though we’re not ruling out Berlin completely. We’re seeking collaborations and investors, and are especially keen to do pop-ups in other cities to explore new environments and ideas. Please feel free to contact us!

We’re also considering what comes next for the space. If you’re interested in a commercial kitchen and/or taking over the space, let us know. The kitchen itself is strong; the limitations are mainly around seating for a full restaurant concept, so it would work best for catering, private events or a delivery concept.
