Hi friends, we’re very sad to share that we’ll be closing the shop at the end of this month. The last Bricks & Mortar day will be Friday, 30 January 2026.
It’s been six wild years. Many of you have been with us since the beginning – we somehow made it through the sh*tshow that was COVID (what a time to open a gastronomy business, right?).
Slowly but surely, more and more of you joined us, and we were finally able to grow – not just the menu, but the circle of friends. You people 🫶
We honestly don’t even know where to begin. You can imagine how tough the situation is for our industry (and so many others). We’ve poured our hearts into this little brick shop – and in return, we’ve felt so much love from all of you.
But we’d be lying if we said it wasn’t a challenge – mentally, physically, and economically.
We had big dreams for this place: to become the best coffee spot in the neighbourhood, to serve a frickin’ tasty (if not particularly healthy) all-day brunch deep into the night. That dream we didn’t quite get to tick off… but hey, Tim learned to bake! (Even vegan & gluten-free, mate!)
But as they say: all things come to an end. Inflation, staff costs, all the bureaucracy – the reality is, it’s just no longer sustainable for us. We could go on, but how about we talk in person.
We’ll be open during regular hours this week: 9–20 on weekdays, 10–20 this weekend.
Come by for one last coffee, a cheesy sandwich, or a cheeky espresso martini (still the best in town, if you ask us – and we’ll die on that hill 😈)
Let’s end this chapter the way it deserves! We’d love to see as many of you as possible over the coming days. Come by, grab a coffee, get a hug, and let’s stay friends on here.
Bricks & Mortar might be wrapping up – but we’ll still be around!
