Street food at The Hoxton: Gully Burger Lands in Berlin
The Indian street food pop Gully Burger has taken over the kitchen at The Hoxton. From 12 noon daily, the short menu packs a punch, like the “Maharaja”: a sesame bun layered with bone marrow butter, a spiced double patties with green peppers, onions, masala ketchup and melted cheese.
Beef? In Indian cuisine? Not common, but not unheard of either. , the founder behind it all, comes from Kerala in southern India and spent years in the US. His burger creations bring both worlds to the plate.
Also new: a portobello burger with onion marmalade and green chutney. A returning favourite: the juicy Kerala sandwich with pickled, fried chicken and curry slaw.
Available in the lobby, tea house, on the terrace and via room service.”
