Since 1951, "Capital" (with poultry or game) and "Meat" (with veal, beef or pork) salads have appeared in reference books and cookbooks. The fish version of the Stolychny salad (Sturgeon or beluga or pike perch or cod salad) unexpectedly gets ingredients such as boiled carrots and canned green peas, and even cauliflower as a garnish.
