🔥 Sunday — Playas del Coco

We’ll be fully stocked with slow-smoked brisket, our award-winning baby back ribs, and our famous Texas chili...no beans, obviously. And of course our house-made BBQ sauce, a little sweet, a bit tangy and totally delicious!

We’ve been selling out pretty quickly lately, so come early if you want the good stuff. Better yet, send me a message with your order ahead of time and I’ll set it aside for you.

Longhorn Smokehouse BBQ is back at it this weekend!

This week we’re bringing:

🥩 Fresh smoked brisket
🍖 Our famous baby back ribs
🐷 Pulled pork
🌶️ Texas brisket chili - no beans, obviously
🔥 Our famous BBQ sauce
💥 And a VERY limited batch of brisket burnt ends

I think these might be the best burnt ends I’ve ever made. That’s a dangerous statement, but I’m standing by it.

I wanted to let everyone know that Molly took excellent care of me last week, and thanks to her, and some truly great friends, we’re back at it!

The smoker has been working overtime getting ready for this week's Tamarindo Saturday Market and the Sunday Market in Playa del Coco.

We’ll be fully stocked with:

🔥 Delicious Texas chili (no beans, of course)

🐾 A Message from Molly 🐾

Hi friends, it’s Molly!

My daddy is sick with chikungunya, so I’ve ordered him to stay in bed, drink plenty of fluids, and stop pretending he can still do everything himself. He says it is terrible, and he wants everyone to stay healthy. Please use mosquito repellent!

Unfortunately, that means Longhorn Smokehouse BBQ will not be at the Tamarindo Saturday Market or the Playa del Coco Sunday Market this weekend.

I’ll be supervising his recovery closely... with plenty of naps, concerned staring, and absolutely no personal space.

We’re sorry to miss everyone, but we’ll be back next week with a full house of brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chili, smoked specialties, and plenty of Pura Vida!

Thanks for understanding, and please send my daddy some good wishes. I need him healthy, he’s the one with the thumbs and the smoker.

Thank you so much, Tamarindo!
Our new smoked mahi mahi fish dip, and traditional smoked chicken salad were an absolute hit at the Saturday Market!

A few of our favorite reviews:
“Oh wow! Muy rico!”
“Mmmm, that’s so good!”
“Holy s**t, that’s amazing!”
"Wow, wow, wow! Honey you have to try this!" ( said from a nice woman to her husband)

We completely sold out by noon, so we’ll definitely be making more next week. We’re also thinking about adding a smoked buffalo chicken salad to the lineup!

Because these items have a shorter shelf life, we’ll continue making them in small, limited batches to keep everything fresh. To avoid missing out, send us a message and we’ll be happy to set some aside for you.

Longhorn Smokehouse BBQ will be at the Tamarindo Saturday Market tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM!

We’ll have all your usual slow-smoked favorites, including brisket, baby back ribs, Texas chili, and pulled pork.

We’re also introducing two new items this week:

• Classic slow-smoked chicken salad
• Smoked mahi-mahi fish dip, made with plenty of smoked fish, smoked cream cheese, and our own blend of seasonings

Both new items will be available in very limited quantities this week, but we’ll have plenty of samples available for tasting. If y’all like them, we’ll make more next week!

As always, 10% of all sales will be donated to Hope 4 a Street Dog to help care for rescue dogs throughout Guanacaste.

Please note: We will NOT be at the Playa del Coco Sunday Market this week. We’ll be watching the World Cup!
