Writing on the wall!!
If the walls could speak...what would they say?
Some of you know the history of the walls at Brunch, and for those who don't...
When Brunch opened twelve years ago, I decided to have simple and friendly decor, and painted the walls with helpful information on what to do.
Should I hang pictures? Antiques? What colors?
One day, when talking to a few visitors asking them where they were from and why they decided to visit Colombia, I found it so interesting that I handed them markers and asked them to leave their story on my walls and thus, Brunch walls were born, with that very message, others would come in, read it and ask if they could write as well and it became our wall design. To this very day, this tradition continues!.
The walls filled with messages quickly, messages on top of messages, thoughts, and ideas from almost every country you could imagine around the world. Soon I had to decide how I was going to save all these messages, I couldn't just simply erase them; they meant so much to me. At times I would read them and remember the authors, wondering where would they be and how their lives have changed, etc.
