My step by step hiring process 👇

1. “I can’t afford it”

Entrepreneurs get confused about how much their time is worth.

Here’s the formula to make it easy:

Your time is worth how much your business pays you divided by 2,000 hours.

Then you need to calculate your buy back rate:

No one should be doing work they can’t outsource for 1/4 of what they’re taking home.

Let’s say your business pays you $100,000/year, that’s $50/hour (Assuming you work 40 hours per week).

Your buy back rate in this case would be: $12.50.

Everyone has a buy back rate, even if you make $50,000/year, that’s $6.25/hour.

You could hire TWO full-time VAs overseas to support your business with that amount of money.

Get creative.

But what should you make them do?

That’s where ATF comes in:

2. Audit, Transfer, Fill

Audit: First your look at all the time you spend in a day (Look at every 15 minutes, I’m serious)

And score those activities according to:

1. How much money they make you. ($ vs $$$)

2. How much it lights you up. (Green, Yellow, Red)

For me:

Financials and projections are boring - RED

Creating content is exciting - GREEN

Does this task make me money? How much would it cost to offload to someone else?

Responding to emails - $

Sales calls - $$$

But how do you get the right person?

Move to the last step:

3. The Test First Hiring Method

Here’s my rule:

I don’t work with you until I work with you.

Let’s pretend you hire an EA (Executive Assistant) to manage your emails and calendar (my recommendation)

Create a “test project”.

Simulate the work they would do in your business.

Pay them for their time (A bad hire is a lot more expensive)

And see how they perform.

9/10 times you can filter the bad apples before they even get on your team.

It took me 8 years to get to 100K.

10 months to get to 1M.

And another 8 months to get to 2M.

But most importantly, my kids will grow up watching these videos.

That thought has been sitting with me since we crossed 1M.

One day, they’ll click through this archive and see their dad teaching millions of people how to build businesses, lead teams, and bet on themselves.

And here’s what I want them to see:

Not that I built something big. That I built something that mattered.

That every video was in service of something bigger than views.
That every lesson came from real scars, not theory.
That I chose impact over income, movement over metrics.

Because this isn’t about me leaving a legacy for my kids.

It’s about us creating a legacy for every kid who needs to see that ordinary people can build extraordinary things.

Every entrepreneur in their garage who thinks they’re alone.
Every founder betting their last dollar on themselves.
Every person who’s been told to “get a real job” but knows they’re meant for more.

2 million people who are now living proof.
