Lately, I’ve been learning that social media is exactly the same. Some of my posts gain traction and I’m over the moon, while others are a total flop! But instead of letting the quiet posts get me down, I’m committing to just showing up consistently and embracing the fails as part of the process.

Behind the scenes of this little baking business, my life is wonderfully chaotic. Between raising 4 amazing kids, tending to a massive garden, managing the household, and keeping my 6 backyard chickens happy, my hands are always full (and usually covered in flour!). 🧑‍🌾🐓👶

I’m learning as I go, figuring out what works, throwing out what doesn’t, and enjoying every single step. I am so incredibly grateful you are here along for the ride.

Our neighborhood Nerf battle hit a major speed bump when the blasters started breaking. Once kids had to start sitting out, boredom was creeping in fast and no one knew what to do next. Time for a tactical rescue mission!

I snuck away in the wagon while my eldest stepped up as the ultimate accomplice—pumping the ice cream truck tunes and filming the exact moment 9 kids realized the afternoon was saved. 🥳

Rolling up in the Roadmaster is always a bonus, but ice cream sandwiches and popsicles will always save the day.

The rumors are true... William finally got his wish for a little brother! 🐶🤣

William recently outgrew some of his favorite old t-shirts and decided they needed to be properly upcycled. Thanks to the kids’ styling expertise, our sweet pup has officially inherited a whole new wardrobe—and yet another nickname to add to his list of 100+. Everyone, meet “Little Bro.” 🧢🧦

Don’t worry, you can all breathe a sigh of relief! Rest assured, the only buns cooking in the oven over here are the fresh ones in our kitchen. We are blessed beyond measure with our four beautiful kiddos, but we are absolutely capping the head count right there! 😂

Every time you build something from scratch, you’re going to invite noise. People will root for you to fail, laugh when you stumble, and question your drive.

But around here, we don’t fear the haters. In fact, I’m teaching my kids to view them as the ultimate blessing.

Whenever my kids come to me because someone laughed at them for falling down, messing up, or not being “good enough” yet, my response is always the same: Put it in the bank. Use it as fuel. 🏦🔥

The hard times and the critics are where the best lessons are learned. People only try to tear you down when they feel like they are standing still.

You could be the most successful, confident, kind person in the world, and someone will still have something negative to say. Let them talk. Every ounce of negativity is just proof that you are pushing boundaries, doing something right, and refusing to live a comfortable, average life.

To anyone out there chasing a dream, building a business, or raising resilient kids: Do not let the noise slow you down. Embrace the struggle, teach your babies to persevere, and keep pushing forward.

The school lunch upgrade of the century! 🎒✨

I’ve been baking our own sandwich bread for years, but I recently revised my batch to make it even better—and most importantly, I finally changed the loaf size! I started using extra-long pans so the slices fit absolutely perfectly into the kids’ school bento boxes, and we get more slices!!! 📐🍞

The best part? The updated crust is so good that the kids came home last week with completely DEVOURED lunches! No weird store-bought preservatives, zero additives, just pure homemade goodness. Honestly, the only downside to perfecting this new batch is that I’m baking way more than before because they keep asking for it! 😂

We also packed these boxes with the absolute freshest, most giant berries from our trip to Singh Farms in Abbotsford this past Monday! We grow our own berries at home, but wow, our garden doesn’t even compare to the incredible quality and size of theirs. If you haven’t checked out their beautiful community garden yet, you are seriously missing out—better quality and better prices than the grocery store! The kids polished off their own individual pints so fast, it’s a good thing I bought extras for school lunches! 🍓❤️

Flashback to a few weeks ago when I was working in the garden and my kid and their neighborhood partner-in-crime handed me this Polaroid. 🧺✨

It was right during their peak paparazzi phase. Also, mystery solved for our Mission neighborhood! If you randomly found a snapshot of your house on your doorstep a few weeks back... now you know exactly who your secret photographers were. 😅📸
