Coconut dusted also known as a super delicious and popular dessert in 🇦🇺 Lamingtons are Australian in origin. 🇦🇺
They’re considered a national cake of Australia, dating back to the late 1800s (named after Lord Lamington). Classic lamingtons are sponge cake dipped in chocolate and rolled in coconut, often with jam and/or cream inside.

Čupavci are the Balkan adaptation. 🇧🇦🇭🇷🇷🇸
They’re not originally Balkan, but they became naturalized there over the 20th century and took on their own identity:
Usually no jam or cream filling. Chocolate glaze is often thinner and poured over warm cake. Cut into larger, softer squares. Made almost exclusively as a homemade family dessert. The name čupavci (“hairy/furry ones”) is uniquely local
