So here's the update...

It looks like our Mexican Village for the Carrousel of the Nations will still be happening on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20.

Unfortunately, we still have a bunch of cleaning up to do that will prevent us and Rico Taco Mexican Street Eats from having enough food and drink ready to also open on Sunday, but we'll be trying our best.

We still have lots of work to do, product to secure, and another inspection to pass, but 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 that things are looking good for this weekend to take place.

We want to thank everyone for their kind words and offers of support. It means the world to us ❤️

If you really want to show your love and support, we encourage you to come get a margarita and some tacos. We recommend coming between 5-7pm on Friday or between 12pm-5pm on Saturdaybas we had lineups later in the evening last weekend.

***UPDATE***
So here's what we know so far. There was a fire in the business connected to the north (behind) the WindsorEats Food Hall. As a result, smoke entered our building.

Police and fire inspectors will be back in the morning to gather more information and let us know how we can move forward.

What does that mean for Mexican Village for Carrousel of the Nations this upcoming weekend? We're not sure until we're able to get all the details from the fire inspector.

We'll update everyone as soon as we know.

This month at the WindsorEats Food Hall will be our busiest yet with so many amazing events:

🇲🇽 June 12-14 & 19-21: Mexican Village for Carrousel of the Nations takes place with live Latin music each and every day and Rico Taco Windsor offering a huge selection of eats.

📖 June 25: Our monthly book club with Biblioasis Bookshop takes place with the book and beverage feature coming from Sudan.

🎺 June 26-27: The 2026 Electric Avenue International Jazz Festival with feature Stevie Wonder's trumpet player, Dwight Adams, as the headliner.

🍰 June 28: Bake Club - Fresh From the Market is such an amazing event by Searching southern Ontario that showcases folks who love to bake
