I haven't posted anything here for a long time as I am obviously not running the business. However I am getting ready to open the Senlac Cafe in Senlac, Sk. Some of your favorites will be served there. The burgers will still be juicy and delicious and without fillers. Yes the burger sauce(Cory's) and Cory's Monster Burger will be served there. If you happen to be on Hwy 14,don't pass by! It will be worth the 10 minutes drive into town to eat. I promise! Cory may actually be there to greet you with his awesome smile and charm! Attention please......there is a rumor going around stating Scott started cooking again at the Wilkie Esso/restaurant formally known as Cory's Café. That is untrue. Whoever is cooking at that place now is not my husband and it does not involve Cory's Café. That was the name we gave the restaurant when we were running it. So anyone who decides to go eat there thinking Scott is the cook there once more.....that's not the case. Scott and I would never go back to that place. Scott has a reputation for making great quality food and he wants people to know that whoever is spreading this stuff, it's best to get the truth right from the horses mouth and not listen to rumor. Thank you.

I am done at Unity cafe. I will miss being able to continue to cook my recipes for the people who enjoy them. Between Cory's and Unity Cafe it has been a great journey, I have opened 2 restaurants in 6 months,and have worked tirelessly to bring my vision of fresh food to people who have received it well. I can only say that it would not be professional to air dirty laundry regarding my departure from the Unity cafe. I will say that I felt used by the owner and severely under compensated by the owner.....While I was very happy to work for myself to serve my customers and make no profits at Cory's to invest in a business future, I made less than 7 dollars/hr. working to make somebody else s future. Meanwhile,I had somebody providing very little help, and looking over my shoulder trying to steal my recipes !!! Sorry if I let anybody down, but I hope to return to provide you with the best again! Any "hands off" investors out there ? I thank you all from my heart! Chef Scotty

PS I am already back to work here in Unity, but I am helping somebody else do their thing.

Unity Cafe opened it's doors today for Sunday brunch only. Tomorrow the doors are open for regular business from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Going to be the same great food that we served at Cory's Cafe. Once we get a web page up and running we will post the link for everyone and just close this page. Scott and I are looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and new ones. Come on down and enjoy a great home cooked meal.

As mentioned before, New year brings new ventures.....it's now official, Scott is the head chef at the Unity Cafe in downtown Unity, Sask. It is next to the car dealership on main street. The restaurant will be opening in the near future. The menu will be smaller, but the food quality will still be the same. Fresh made hamburgers with no added fillers, homemade beer battered fish and home cut fries, homemade pork sausage patties and pan fries on the breakfast menu. There will also be buffets. Scott is looking forward to seeing faces of people that came to eat at Cory's Cafe, as well as new faces. Tell all your friends to stop by and try the great food.

Happy New Year to everyone. We would like let you all know that we have been hearing rumors that we may have been less than honest in our business dealings while operating Cory's Cafe. First of all, we would like to state that this is not true. Secondly, if any of our readers should know the source of these lies so we can persue the slanderer (s) and put these lies to rest it would be greatly appreciated. We worked a hard honest life to earn our good names and will fight to keep it that way. Thank you. The Duncans

2012 is quickly coming to an end. We've had lots of good memories as well as some bad ones. We must focus on the good ones as we put 2012 behind us. We don't know what the New Year has in store for us. But we'll take it as it comes. It has come to our attention that the owner of the building that formally housed Cory's Cafe had been using our menu without our permission. He had been advised before we even opened the doors to the cafe that if we should leave, he would not have any rights to our menu. We have given him a fair warning to discontinue using our menu at the restaurant or further action may be taken against him. If anyone knows of him continuing to use our menu and recipes, please advise us about it. He has no rights to them what so ever. Thank you. Cathy Duncan

It is with deepest regret that Scott and I have to tell all of our fans of Cory's Cafe that we are no longer operating the restaurant anymore. We were forced out by the owner of the building due to irreconciliable differences. He didn't want to negotiate with us. Scott and I took pride in the food and service provided to our customers. We are walking away from this venture with our heads held high knowing that we kept our food quality the best throughout all the time we operated the Cafe. We want everyone to know that if the food quality and service becomes poor from today onward, it is because we are not the ones cooking it anymore. We are proud of the food we sent out to our customers and it was all made with love. We will always stand by that motto no matter what the future holds for us. If there is another Cory's Cafe for us in the future, the food will be made with the same love as we put into the meals we served our customers the past 6 months. If we venture off in another direction and become employeed by another, we guarantee you will be served the same kind of food as we served at our cafe. We are heartbroken over the events that have transpired and we feel like we lost a member of our family. We nurtured the business and watched it grow. We were proud of what we accomplished. We will miss our wonderful staff that helped us make Cory's what it was. They were like family to us and we will miss all our wonderful customers. We want to send a heartfelt thank you to all of you. We will keep this webpage open for awhile and post any new venture that we will be doing. Hopefully we will see you all again sometime in the near future. To all of our loyal fans of Cory's Cafe.....we will be open for business tomorrow Friday Dec. 14 and Saturday Dec. 15. We are uncertain after that since we are under negotiation with the owner of the building and we're uncertain about the cafe's future.
