This is our very first year raising chickens🐓, and as the saying goes, live and learn! We've been learning so much every single step of the way.

​We processed our first batch and our second batch is coming soon. Our compost is cooking so well, and Pine 🐶 is having the absolute best time—not even playing, just watching the chickens with pure fascination!

​Sadly, we lost more birds than we expected this year, which means we won't have many available for sale this year. While losing birds is always a tough part of farming, every lesson helps us adapt and build better systems for the future. Thank you all for following along on our farm journey! 💚

​I’ve always been someone who loves growing things you can eat. But ever since we moved to our new location, Val has inspired me so much with all her incredible flowers💐—both annuals and perennials. Because of that, I’m planning to grow even more flowers next season, and they will be available as bedding plants next year ✨️!

​Plus, I will have mini vase flower bouquets filled with all these beautiful blooms available at the Fireweed Community Market too! 💐✨

Despite the recent frost and chilly nights outside, our tomatoes are thriving and growing so well in the warm shelter of our greenhouse🍅🌿!

​This year, we’re growing over 10 different varieties of tomatoes🍅—ranging from sweet, juicy cherries to medium cocktail-sized gems and beautiful heirlooms. We are offering them at our vegetable stand at the Fireweed Community Market , packed up as a fun, colorful mixed bag🛍!

​It’s the perfect way to sample a little bit of everything we've been nurturing. Come grab a bag of fresh, farm-grown tomatoes while they last🍅💚

We thought summer had finally arrived, and then frost hit... ❄️🌾

​July 26th was the earliest frost we have ever experienced since we started farming. On top of everything else—moving, growing in a new location for the first time, and dealing with a cold season—having frost hit already makes it feel like we are straight into fall mode.

​Luckily, we prioritized our crops and covered all the delicate veggies under row covers. We didn't lose any vegetable crops, though a few still took a bit of damage under the covers🥒🥬. Unfortunately, our flower pots were left uncovered and took a hard hit. While we didn't lose all of our flowers, we completely lost our nasturtiums, dahlias, and some strawflowers. 🌼💔

​Growing in the North is far from impossible, but it sure requires endless love, learning, and making mistakes along the way. Thank you all for supporting us through every wild weather season! 💚

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the plant festival and enjoyed our lunch! This was our biggest catering event yet, and it was a huge success thanks to the beautiful people and amazing community🌿💚

We want to give a special thank you to the Yukon Plant Guild for organizing such an amazing plant community event and for including us in it🙏💕! ​We received so many wonderful compliments and are incredibly happy to bring our farm-to-table meals to such a beautiful event. The whole weekend was filled with so many interesting workshops and fantastic energy🌼!

​We want to send a special thank you to Miyuki and Yuta for helping us out all day long—we couldn't have done it without you! We also want to give a huge shout-out to kitchen volunteers Driss and Ume for your incredible help too!

​Because of the busy festival weekend, we are taking a little time to rest and recharge. We will be CLOSED on Monday and Tuesday, but we will be back at the Carcross Cut-Off corner on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. After that, we will see you at the Fireweed Market on Thursday!
