A vintage sewing machine cake topper completely handcrafted for a special celebration. Every detail tells a story of creativity, dedication, and love for sewing.
The sewing machine on top is inspired by my mom's very first sewing machine—the one she bought when I was just one year old. I still smile when I hear the family story about how I had an accident in the store and they had to clean me up because diapers weren't common for us then.
My mom stitched almost every dress I wore until I moved to Canada. Behind every beautiful outfit she made were countless hours of hard work, back pain, shoulder pain, and the struggles of living with varicose veins. Yet she never stopped doing what she loved.
When I was creating this cake for another mother who shares the same passion for sewing, I couldn't help but think of my own mom. I know the dedication, sacrifice, and love that goes into every stitch, even on the days when the pain is hard to bear.
I shared every detail of this cake with my mom through video calls, and there were moments that brought tears to my eyes.
I feel truly blessed to create this cake for another mother, while honoring my own at the same time.
