MJ's Coffee Bar & Bistro is looking to add two new team members to our café family!

Permanent Part-Time Barista • Approximately 20-25 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours throughout the year • Flexible weekday availability required • Year-round position

Summer Part-Time Barista • Approximately 15-25 hours per week • Additional hours available throughout the summer while covering staff vacations and absences • Position begins immediately for training • Summer position through August • Potential for continued casual employment after summer

Responsibilities include: • Preparing coffee, espresso beverages, and other specialty drinks • Food preparation and kitchen support • Providing excellent customer service • Cleaning and dishwashing • Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

We're looking for friendly, reliable team members who enjoy working with people, take pride in their work, and enjoy being part of a busy local café.

☕ Community Reminder ☕

We arrived at MJ's this morning to find several bags of household garbage left behind our café. Unfortunately, the bags were torn open overnight, leaving garbage scattered throughout the parking lot and alley and creating a significant cleanup for our team.

We kindly ask that personal household waste not be left at local businesses. Not only does it create extra work, but it also attracts birds and other animals and affects the appearance of our downtown.

We love being part of this community and appreciate everyone's help in keeping our shared spaces clean and welcoming.

🍵 Matcha lovers, we have a little update!

We're temporarily out of matcha and won't be able to make matcha lattes for a short time. We know some of you stop in specifically for your matcha fix, and we're just as sad about it as you are.

We're working on getting more in as soon as possible and will let you know the moment it's back on the menu. In the meantime, we'd love to help you find a new favourite from our drink lineup. 💚
