We tend to recall the warmth and love that accompanied a variety of nourishing and wholesome meals. Whether you are looking for a full meal, a snack or a great dessert accompanied by a fine locally roasted coffee, we hope you find it here. Our food is prepared in an "open concept" kitchen. We not only want you to see what goes into making your meal, but also to sense the energy, sights, sounds and
aromas of a professional working kitchen. The restaurant provides options for various dietary choices (including gluten-free and vegetarian). Our carnivorous friends can be assured that the meat (beef, poultry, bison, bacon) we serve is hormone and antibiotic-free. As would be expected, we recycle and compost all that we can - including our takeout cups (we recycle the lids). When we set up the composting and recycling program, we were thinking of our footprint, about our children's children, and the comforts they deserve to experience. We are looking forward to planting our own herb garden in the Spring of 2012 to enhance the dishes we present. We support some of the best that the West Coast has to offer you in terms of its organic coffee (Discovery Coffee), loose-leaf teas (Silk Road & Namasthe), beer (Phillips & Saltspring Island Ales) and meats (Pemberton Meadows). Our attitude is that it's not just the little things that matter, it's everything. This is why we also have an expertly chosen wine list appropriate to our menu. Of course, we offer many cold beverages as well. We want to encourage you to express your thoughts and suggestions as we proceed forward as a "work-in-progress', adapting to our physical plant as well as the needs and desires of our customers.
