Food Less Travelled We are closed Good Friday and Closed Easter Monday and closed all other holiday Mondays. Christmas Eve we close at 3.

You are invited!! To celebrate Lynda’s would-be 77th Birthday- tomorrow October 15th.

Come for a FREE ICE CREAM CONE!!

Lynda was part of our team here for 18 years before she passed suddenly last year. Lynda loved children and loved to please others with freebies!

So tomorrow, Thursday October 15th, until close, grab an ice cream cone in memory of our dearest friend.

Congratulations to our pie winners who guessed the number of pies we made over Friday Saturday!!

We made 101 pies and sold 93 so we decided to give out 2 pies since you all took the time to play along!

Nancy Ketcheson guessed 101 and Tammy MacDonald guessed 93

#️⃣2️⃣ Second in line was Apple Pie- we made 31. We would have sold more but we ran out of time to make the last batch of 7.

Woohoo!!!! Announcing the winners of the pie contest!!!

We overshot our mark but came really close so we’re giving away 2 pies.

We made 101 pies to sell over Friday and Saturday and were left with 8 unsold!!! We sold 93 pies without even trying!!

Congratulations Tammy MacDonald you guessed how many pies we actually made!! 🥳 🥧

We made no. phone calls, no sign outside looking for orders or even Facebook posts. To be honest, we’re always afraid of not being able to keep up. (Also our phones lines weren’t working all of Friday & Saturday so we could not take last minute requests)

So this is what great products and service do for repeat business.

We haven’t actively promoted our pies or chased orders for them this Thanksgiving.

We’re just going to let the orders roll in as them may and we’ll do our best to keep up.

We have SAVOURY and it’s SOME GOOD!!

We carry Farmer John's Herbs Nova Scotia grown Savoury and a selection of their homemade seasonings made using their own savoury.

We carry Newfoundland Seasonings Savoury and we also offer a selection of their homemade seasoning mixes.

Lastly we offer Mt. Scio Savoury. Mt. Scio is a Newfoundland company. Some of their savoury is grown in Newfoundland.

Treat yourself!! Or pick up a treat for that person who has everything!

With what seemed like a lot of harum- scarum around here for a while, we are a week late getting apples for apple pies.

Today’s the day!!! We’re meeting the apple truck in Kingston this morning and we’ll have apple pies by mid afternoon.

We’ve already started our pumpkin pies!!! 🎃

Don’t forget turkeys arrive tonight and will be available starting tomorrow morning! 🦃

Kitchen staff have already cubed several loves of bread and made them available for your stuffing. You’ll find them in the bakery area. 👩‍🍳🧑🏻‍🍳

If you need chicken stock for your dressing, you’ll find 750 ml containers in freezer. If you love our chicken soups, you’ll know how good our stock is. 🐓

Every year we think we’ve flooded the market with these homemade wool and cashmere sweater mittens. And every year, Sue showers us with more gorgeous mittens, even more beautiful than the year before.

We ordered 50 but ended up choosing almost 60!!! You could probably use a pair as early as tomorrow morning!

Keep these beauties in the back of your mind when you come this week!

We’re a little frightened but really excited and looking forward to seeing so many faces this week!

Whoa!! It’s Monday morning before Thanksgiving!!!! Have you booked your turkey yet???

Our turkeys are raised on our own farm, Perry Farm in Harrowsmith. They are free range which means they have beautiful muscles, the moisture and fat content gives them a flavour and texture your family will brag about until next Thanksgiving.

We have 25 turkeys yet to be spoken for. Please call early 613-374-FOOD (3663) or send a message to our page.

Turkeys will be available starting Thursday until close on Saturday. 🦃
