Obviously we had to try the viral Sticky Toffee Toast. 🤌

Dates, peanut butter, grilled honey-butter bananas and chocolate shavings, all served on our Sourdough Vienna! Some might call this indulgent..and some might call it a mid-morning snack. 👀

I am so incredibly proud of my team for helping us reach this massive product donation milestone, while serving our community. We have donated to well over a thousand families who were displaced during the wildfires❤️ This equals to over $17,000 in product donations!

And our customers really stepped up as well and allowed us to raise $2811 that went directly to the Vernon Animal Auxiliary to help even more evacuees!!

At this time, we are asking that anyone needed further support, to please email the bakery before coming in. This way we can still support, but make sure we also have product for the community.

It takes a village to support a community!

I wasn't able to make a delivery of donations to Lake Country yesterday so my wonderful sister and dad (isn't he just so darn cute?!?) stepped up made the trip for me!

It was then intercepted by Alicia, who then was able to get it to OKIB members displaced by the fires

Another day another donation drive around!
🥰

I had such a humbling experience at the bakery today. A gentleman came in while I was on a business call. He decided not to wait but put money down on the counter and told my team it was so I could continue donating. That I was doing a great job. What the gentleman didn't see was the tears my team (and I!!) shed realizing how far I could spread that money out!

Donating isn't cheap. It isn't easy, but its the right thing to do in disasters such as this (and in many more instances!). I am honored to be able to support the community this way.

To all those people who have walked through the door of my bakery and said "thank you", "we see you", "I'm here to buy something to support you", " I'd like to buy extra so you can donate"....

Tonight's pick up from the bakery brings us to such a major milestone!

We are over FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in donations in only 4 days!! This includes the product we bring to the evacuation center, the product we are handing out at various RV congregations, and to evacuees that come to the bakery.

I am so proud of my team for taking on the challenge of extra product and being amazing in finding out who are evacuees and making sure everyone is being taken care of. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Thank you for the recommendations on where to stop to distribute our donations! Tonight i met some absolutely lovely people in the Superstore parking lot. It was pretty awesome that, while we were making the rounds, 7-11 was doing the same with drinks!! I am blown away at the business involvement!
After that we headed to the Prestige Inn to make sure the OKIB members got some of the best bread amd buns in town🥰

Now tell me, where should we go tomorrow??

I took ZERO pics today! We did some rounds around the area to find evacuees in RVs.

Help me out Vernon!
Where are the large congregations of RVs/tents/ etc so we can go visit??

Today and tonight we donated alllll this product! This vehicle WAS FULL when we started!

Tomorrow we'll be back at Kal Tire Place at the backside of the building where Animal Auxiliary is set up! Then we'll head out to find those RVs around dinnertime!

My dad and I were making the rounds again tonight to find those camping out in RVs and tents after being evacuated from the fire! I will continue to bring product from the bakery to those who haven't been able to, or don't know to, head to the bakery to get what they need while displaced.
We'll have some product at the backside of Kal Tire Place again tomorrow, where we've paired up with Gena to make sure evacuees can get necessities for them and their pets❤️
