The interior of Milltown Bar & Grill boasts true West-coast décor. It can be seen in the walls, which are made out of 100-year-old reclaimed local Douglas Fir wood. Double-sided fireplaces made out of brushed stainless steel contrast against the white subway tiles and massive rope chandeliers. A dropped ceiling above the bar features local wood that was torched, literally set on fire, to give it’s rustic look. “It’s rustic, industrial, nautical all mixed together. It’s really creates a cozy and inviting space.” admits Scott McVicker, Co-Owner of Milltown Bar & Grill. Owners, Scott McVicker and Paddy Gallagher, have been in the restaurant industry for 20 and 15 years respectively. They have opened and managed successful local bars and this is their first joint venture as SPirit Hospitality. They pride themselves on the friendly staff and affordable food and drinks with water views in a laid back atmosphere. “With brunch on the weekends, lunch features every day, and entertainment in the evenings; this is the place to go for Richmondites and Vancouverites”, added Paddy Gallagher.

Paddy, co-owner of Milltown, was at the hanger at this morning at 2AM to take down some very special kids on a Dreams Take Flight ()day trip to Disneyland!! 🤩

has been fundraising at Milltown every Friday night with a Meat Draw and in the last year, was able to raise enough money to take over 30 children on this flight!!

We don’t know if Paddy got invited because of that or because of how much money he personally spent on meat draw tickets this year 😅💸 either way, we are proud of him, the Milltown community and the DTF Friday night team that made this happen!!

Today, September 30, is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Milltown Bar and Grill is located on the unceded land and waterways of the Musqueam people, who have cared for and stewarded these lands since time immemorial. We recognize the privilege of operating at the Musqueam Band-owned Milltown Marina.

We are grateful for the relationships we have built with members of the Musqueam community, and we recognize that being part of this community comes with a responsibility to listen, learn and continue doing this work beyond September 30.

Today, we remember the children who were taken from their families, those who never came home, residential school survivors and the families and communities who continue to live with the impacts of this history.

Truth and reconciliation require more than remembrance. We encourage our Milltown community to make space for Indigenous voices, stories, art, and knowledge and to consider what meaningful action and accountability can look like every day.

We hold our Indigenous friends, neighbours, staff, and community members close today and throughout the year.
