Seeing how many people connected with “You Found Us” over the past week genuinely meant a lot to us 🫶

This little diner above a lumberyard has been part of Vancouver since 1949, and all the comments, tags, stories, and messages reminded us why we’re still here.

It’s about the people.

First day back upstairs and…we’re smiling again 🤍☀️

After taking some time to rest and recharge, it felt really special opening the doors again today.

Hearing the room full, seeing familiar faces, smelling coffee in the air… we missed this.

Thank you for your patience, kindness, and support while we took this break.

We’re grateful to be back doing what we love.

We have been thinking what Community means.

South Vancouver isn’t always on the map. 👀❤️

Tucked away in the corner of the city, often passed by, there’s a small diner above a lumberyard.

And somehow, people found us.

Over the years, this place became more than a restaurant.

It became part of the fabric of our community.🫶

The regulars.
The workers.
The families.
The early mornings and familiar faces.

Notes left on our walls.
Money pinned to our fridge from visitors around the world.
Little pieces of people who came in as strangers and left feeling connected.

So receiving “Best Neighbourhood Wildcard” means more than we can explain.🥹

Because this isn’t just about us.

It’s about South Vancouver.
A community that quietly shows up for one another.
