October in Vancouver means the rain settles in and doesn't ask permission. This is the order for that.

Our Sopa Azteca Guerrera comes out hot — tomato-chipotle broth, crisp tortilla strips, avocado, cheese and crema, poured at the table so the strips stay crunchy. It's a soup that's meant to be eaten right away, not photographed for ten minutes first.

Lunch runs 12–4, dinner from 5, late-night from 10 until close.

We also cater — this one holds up well for a group.

Pull up to 722 Nelson St and warm up.

Built in the hand, eaten in couple bites. That's the whole design.

Warm corn tortilla, guacamole first so nothing slides, then champiñones al ajillo — mushrooms cooked down with guajillo, garlic and onion until they go deep and savory — and sliced steak on top, still pink in the middle. Red onion underneath for the bite.

Everything here was cooked to order. The mushrooms in that skillet have been in the pan this whole time, not sitting in a warmer.

Hosting a group? Our taquiza setup travels — catering available.

The bartender steps back and lets the drink take the shot. That's the right call.

Our Jamaica margarita starts with real hibiscus — steeped in house, never from a bottled mix. Tart, floral, deep red, blended to order with a hand-rimmed glass. The color isn't dye. It's the flower.

Jamaica has been brewed across México for generations, long before anyone put it in a margarita glass. We just gave it a little more fight.

Hosting something? Our bar travels — cocktail service available through catering.

Come grab one at the barra — 722 Nelson St, open late.

Tonight, Mexico shouts. 🇲🇽

On September 15, 1810, Miguel Hidalgo rang the bell in Dolores and started a revolution. We're celebrating the way Mexico does, with a Menú Patrio built around the season's classics.

Start with a bowl of Pozole, pork and hominy in a guajillo broth with lettuce, radish, and lime. Then the star of the card: Chiles en Nogada. Legend says nuns in Puebla created it in 1821, dressed in green parsley, white nogada, and red pomegranate to match the new flag. Ours comes stuffed with picadillo, fruits, and nuts under a pecan cream sauce, or rolled as Enchiladas en Nogada. Finish sweet and simple with Fresas con Crema.

El Grito, but make it Nelson Street.

From September 13 to 16 we're celebrating Mexican Independencia the way it's meant to be celebrated — loud, late, and with something cold in your hand. Margaritas at $10.50 and cubetas de Corona at $28.50 all four days, plus the full menú del campeón: quesabirrias, tostaditas, taquiza for the table.

Grab the crew. Wear the green. Bring your best grito — we've got the rest.

Hosting your own fiesta this week? We cater too, just ask.

The pozole starts long before it reaches you. Chiles toasted, soaked, blended and passed through a strainer until the adobo is smooth. Hominy corn cooked until every kernel opens. Pork simmered low until it gives up and falls apart. That colour is chile — not powder, not a base from a bag.

Then it arrives half-finished on purpose. Lettuce, radish and lime go on last, by you, right at the table. That's how it's meant to be eaten.

Green, white and red — the plate is the flag. 🇲🇽

Chiles en nogada come from Puebla, and the story goes they were assembled in 1821 for Agustín de Iturbide after independence was signed: green from the poblano and parsley, white from the nogada, red from the pomegranate. It's a dish with a season, and this is it.

Ours is a poblano stuffed with picadillo — ground pork and beef with fruit and nuts — under pecan cream sauce, with rice on the side. Prefer it rolled? Same filling, same sauce, three corn tortillas: enchiladas en nogada.

Sunglasses indoors, deep berry frozen margarita, neon mask glowing behind. This is what the barra looks like when the afternoon light drops and the room starts shifting.

Worth knowing how the day is structured here: lunch runs 12–4, dinner 5–10, and late-night from 10 until close — when the DJ comes on and the dining room turns into something closer to a lounge. The frozen margaritas are a good entry point at any hour.

We also do catering, cocktails included, if you're building an event.
