Before there was Yo-Bones BBQ, there was Yoshi.
I've been in the food industry for over 30 years. My parents ran a hotel, so food was always part of my life. But I always had this feeling I wanted to build something of my own.
Yoshi was the one who told me to just go do it.
So we found a food truck up in Kelowna, drove it down to Vancouver, and started catering on movie sets. We got busy enough to rent our own kitchen. Then COVID hit right as we were getting started.
But we didn't stop.
8 years later, we're still here smoking brisket, making our sauce from scratch, and feeding Vancouver every single day.
Yo from Yoshi, Bones from my last name. I wouldn't have it any other way.
