Affectionately known by many loyal customers as “the two grandmothers,” they’ve been the heart and soul of The Sea House Fish and Chips since 1997. For almost three decades, they’ve proudly served what many consider Vancouver’s best thin-battered fish, prawns, and calamari — all at prices that kept both bellies and wallets full. With a 4.4-star rating on Google, the community’s appreciation speaks for itself.

Now, after an incredible 28-year journey, they’re hanging up their aprons and heading into a well-earned retirement. The Sea House will be closing its doors on Monday, May 26, 2025, at 9 pm.

Thank you for your unwavering support and for being part of this unforgettable chapter.

Announcement!!!

We are testing new hours. Starting this weekend, we will sell fish and chips on Sundays and will close on Tuesdays. We will also extend closing hours to 9 pm instead of 7:30 pm.

Monday - 12pm to 9pm
Tuesday - Closed
Wednesday - 12pm to 9pm
Thursday - 12pm to 9pm
Friday - 12pm to 9pm
Saturday - 12pm to 9pm
Sunday - 12pm to 9pm

We have also added free WIFI (search for SEA HOUSE).

We will implement a slight price increase next week in our menu items. This decision was not made lightly, but we have experienced a significant increase in our operating expenses, especially in food costs.

We take pride in serving you with the freshest and highest-quality ingredients, and unfortunately, the recent rise in food prices has greatly impacted our bottom line. We have explored various options to minimize the impact on our customers, but unfortunately, we cannot absorb the entirety of the cost increase.

Rest assured that we will continue to deliver the same quality of food and service that you have come to expect from us.

Due to unprecedented increase in food prices in recent months, we have to up our menu prices to stay in the game. This is the first time we have increased our prices in more than a decade. We believe we are still the cheapest no-frills fish and chips shop in Vancouver, though. We are committed to delivering yummy and affordable family meals to our loyal and new customers.
