Kohada コハダ from Kumamoto 熊本市. Kohada is a summer treat and has very rich umami flavours brought out by its preparation. It is one of the most traditional varieties of sushi in authentic Edomae sushi.

Marinated with salt and vinegar, it is tricky because everything has to be measured precisely. Each restaurant has its own preference of ingredient ratio and it took Chef Masa years to perfect his to his liking.

Available as part of omakase. 🙏🏼

Are you ready for more? Thank you for loving our chirashi and bentos. Did you know chef Masa has incorporated 25 components in Masa’s Bento? Available only in limited quantities today and it has been selling out since we started. You can order online from Tuesday to Saturday from 8am to 2pm, same day pick up from 4:30pm to 6:30pm 🙇🏻‍♂️

Thank you to our all of our supporters. It has been four days since we have launched the to-go offerings and its been an adventure, an adventure we thank you for joining us on. We've gotten to see regular patrons, industry and media friends, and gourmands that have travelled from as far as Abbotsford to try the new offerings.

We will continue to adapt our menu and provide new surprises and experiences. We are proud to have raised $135 for and 24 meals for community members through the Staff Meal initiative. If you are able to donate, please do.

THANK YOU for the outpouring of support for our first 2 days. It was so nice to see many familiar (and new) faces during this time when we all feel a bit disconnected. We are grateful for your support and it means a lot to small businesses like us. We have completely run out of items and will need to take a day off tomorrow to restock and cook. Sorry for the inconvenience but we will reopen again on Friday and Saturday! 🙇🏻‍♂️🙏🏼
