Pav Bhaji originated in Mumbai (formerly Bombay) in the 1850s.

It was first made out of necessity as a quick and nutritious meal for textile mill workers, but has been perfected over the last 175 years.

We now mash and spice our vegetables with Indian spices, and serve them alongside Portuguese inspired buttered bread rolls.
