Welcome to Yakinikuya, the most authentic Japanese BBQ restaurant in Vancouver, located on Robson Street downtown. Yakiniku broadly means “grilled meat” in Japanese. You can choose from our selection of delicately seasoned beef, pork, and chicken, as well as fresh seafood and hardy vegetables, to be cooked to your liking over a grill built into the dining table. After grilling, the succulent meats

are to dipped into a sauce known as ta-re before being eaten. The most common sauce is made of a mixture of Japanese soy sauce, sake, mirin, garlic, fruit juice, and sesame. The meal comes with variety of Korean side dishes, such as kimchi, nameul (cooked or preserved vegetables), and a generous salad of crisp lettuce and seasonal vegetables. We want you to walk away full, happy, and healthy from enjoying a warm, comfortable dining experience set in our traditional East Asian interior. Come, partake in the richness of life.
