Yes that's us watching our restaurant on fire.
First of all, to our employees, guests, family and friends. We will reopen Heartwood as soon as possible. Obviously things are out of our control until inspections and clearance to begin this work are granted. If you have an upcoming event with us we will be in contact.
We feel incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support we have received and all of us at Heartwood got a good taste of Ukee love yesterday. We have so many to thank for offering assistance and help and it means the world to us.
Lastly, our thanks to the Ucluelet Volunteer Fire Brigade and first responders who all had to watch thier pagers go off and respond and react when a piece of Ucluelet history is in jeopardy and knowing these members also have built the most incredible bond with our team over the years as diners and friends.
Doing such incredibly serious work in tough conditions with such a calm, targeted, gentle approach left us with repairable damage. We were in awe and so fortunate to have the UVFB. Thank you.
We can all break bread around the table at Heartwood as soon as possible.
