Heritage Rare Breed Pork, Red Pepper Koji Kombucha Glaze, Unearthed Organics’ Heirloom Beans, Okanagan Peaches, ‘Tatlo Road Farm’ Tomatoes and Purslane, Garden Rosemary.

This dish uses every part of pork, with a rotating cut and the bones used to make the sauce.

We said goodbye to our summer salmon dish this week, we’re excited for new things but sad to see it go.

We’re so happy to welcome Teagan to the Pluvio team!

Teagan made the move from Sooke to Ucluelet in June.

With a bright smile and genuine care for her guests, Teagan’s been a wonderful addition to our team.

Fun fact: Teagan grew up raising bees on her family’s meadery, which was the first meadery in Western Canada! 🐝🌼🍯🍾

For those that don’t already know him, this is Dennis.

However, if you are from Vancouver or have dined in Vancouver in the last few years, you probably already do.

Dennis joined our team in February, and we can safely say he is the most well known person to have worked here.

It turns out, guests will travel to Ucluelet for Dennis!

Dennis still has some gripes about Ukee (don’t ask him about the grocery selection) and misses some things about Vancouver, but otherwise he’s thriving out here!

Thanks for making Ukee home Dennis!

Our current first course is a celebration of Vancouver Island.

The menu description is deceptively simple:
‘Chilled Pacific Seafood, Garden Herbs, Westholme White Tea Infusion’.

What’s actually on there:
Poached Spot Prawn, Sashimi Style Octopus, Tuna Crudo, Mint Cured Salmon, Pickled Turnip, Fresh Cucumber + Radish, Salt Spring Island Citrus Kosho, Fresh Tea Leaf Condiment, White Tea + Cucumber Broth.

Every ingredient sourced from our Island or the waters surrounding us, a fresh and clean taste of right now.

Stay with us and enjoy our in-room breakfast.

Prepared daily by our kitchen team, your breakfast bento box will be awaiting your arrival in the fridge, to be enjoyed at your leisure the next morning.

Breakfast includes fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, boiled egg, veggies, either house smoked fish or house cured ham, fresh coffee, and tea.

Everything you need for the day, whether that day includes an early morning fishing trip, adventuring on the trails, getting in the water for a surf, or a relaxing afternoon at the spa!

We’re getting pretty booked up now for the summer, but there are still a few rooms available in July and an August.
