We turned a single bet back in 2012 about who could finish 1001 beers in a single year into one of the original craft beer bars in Toronto. Today, we have two locations downtown Toronto, each with an expansive number of regularly rotating taps. The me

nu includes unique one-offs and artisanal brews that are hard to find anywhere else. We complement the beer and cider selection with an extensive selection of tequila, bourbon, scotch, gin and vodka. While he originally promised us six whiskies to taste, he’s been busy and has rummaged up an incredible NINE groundbreaking and stereotype defying Canadian whiskies from across the country, including a brand new release from Victoria’s Macaloney’s Island Distillery, a rye whisky from BC’s Stillhead that Stephen describes as the most remarkable whisky of any sort he has tasted this year, two bourbon-style whiskies that will make you forget all about Kentucky, and a rye-forward blended whisky from Alberta that’s new to the LCBO.

Tomorrow Friday September 19, we’re hosting an exciting tap feature with Bellwoods Brewery & Blood Brothers Brewing – and the real headline is their dual-collab release! The two breweries have teamed up on not one, but two epic double IPAs that you won’t want to miss.

* Goblin’s Trill DIPA – A hazy hop bomb brewed with Mosaic, Cashmere & Galaxy hops, delivering lush notes of peach, mango, orange & berry. Smooth & juicy.

Friends… It is with mixed emotions that we have made the difficult decision to permanently close the 137 Peter Street Bar Hop location, with our last day on Saturday January 18th .

Since the onset of the pandemic, which changed many of our lives and behaviours, we have been hopeful to see things return to the good ole’ days. The last 4 years have been difficult with a slow recovery in the downtown area, increased costs and the feeling by most people that there is a lot less to go around. We were optimistic that we could keep providing Bar Hop’s brand of good times from multiple locations, however we realized that sometimes good things must come to an end.

The original Bar Hop location at 391 King St W will continue to be open and we look forward to keep serving up all the great things you know & love.

We want to thank all of our customers, staff and business partners that have supported this location over the past 10 years. We have created many memories together and we are grateful for each one of them. We will miss this special place.

Although this is 137 Peter Street’s last week, we invite you to come join us this week and provide it a proper send off.

We will be open this week from Wednesday January 15th until our last night on Saturday January 18th. From 4pm-Late. On top of our regular specials, we will be having some Customer Appreciation drink & food specials on all four of the remaining nights. Please stay tuned to social media for more information.
