5 1/2 years ago, we set out with a dream to prove that good food could be convenient and good for the planet, too. 🌎

It hasn't been easy, but doing the right thing rarely is. And, in the absence of meaningful corporate action, it's frustrating to feel like the responsibility falls to individual people like us.

But on the hard days, it's people like you that remind us why we're here! This growing community of like-minded folks who truly care and are willing to pitch in to do their part for the planet is what keeps us going.

So, on this weekend of giving thanks, we just wanted to take a moment to thank YOU.

Because we wouldn't be us without "u". ✌

What's better than crispy brussels?!

This iconic Thanksgiving side is made all the more seasonally delicious with the addition of fresh sage, shallots and garlic (of course).

Here's how we make it:

Slice Brussels sprouts down the centre to split into halves.

Remove any stems from sage leaves and give them a light roll in your hands. This helps to release the aromatic oils in the leaves.

Finely dice garlic and slice shallots. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add oil/vegan butter.

Once hot, carefully lay each sprout face side down and fry for roughly 5-6 minutes each side or until a golden brown colour is achieved.

Add sage leaves, nutmeg, shallots and garlic to the skillet and lower heat slightly. Stir occasionally to avoid burning and enjoy as a festive holiday side or on top of your fave pasta.

Our fave enchilada recipe. They look impressive, taste delicious, and are super simple to make!

Everything happens in one pan, and in the end you're left with perfectly spiced sweet potatoes, peppers and black beans, stuffed in crispy tortillas, all coated in a super flavourful sauce and topped with avocado, cilantro, and lime for creaminess and zing! It's the kind of high fibre dish that you'll want over and over (and over) again.
