Kuma is closing but something new is coming.

Kuma will be closing its doors on Sunday September 26, 2021, after service. We would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, our friends, costumers, team members, and providers who have made this adventure possible and supported us along the way.

It has been a privilege and a lot of fun serving you all.

We are very excited to announce that Tofino will soon have new restaurant owned by a young talented chef and his wife who will be the manager. We cannot disclose much yet, only that it will be delicious, affordable food to share amongst friends.

If you have a gift certificate, but don't have time to redeem it before Sept 26, you will still be able to use it at the new restaurant.

FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER

Currently accepting resumes for a new bear to lead our positive, friendly and fun team!

-Must have previous experience managing a restaurant
-Full-time position

Seeking someone to oversee daily operations of KUMA including but not necessarily limited to:
-Oversee daily operation; open and closing the restaurant, daily cash reconciliation
-Attending to our customers as part of the FOH team
-Ordering supplies (with the exception of food)
-Oversee FOH staff’s workload, schedule, attendance and timesheet
-Hiring & support staff members through training as required
-Report key results to the restaurant owners
-Problems solving, arrange for repairs when necessary
-Implementation and enforcement of health and safety procedures
-Foster a healthy relationship with Back of House and communicate effectively with ownership
-Posting on social media and updating facebook and website as needed.
