Lily Bean Cookies & Cupcakes Just a busy mom in Swift Current, SK trying to help out other busy moms/dads/people. Hi There!! I spent many years stressing over each and every party!

Let me introduce my self a little bit...

I am a busy mom of 5 ranging in ages 9 to 24 so I have had my share of planning birthday parties and other occasions! I bought so many of the super sweet generic store bought cakes over the years that I was beginning to think my children would be on a constant sugar high! I knew things had to change so I decided to try my hand at making my own and I never

looked back. One thing I took note of was how much cake and frosting was actually wasted because people found it too sweet so when I started making my own I decided that I was going to make one that everyone could enjoy with just the right amount of sweetness!! I also found that cupcakes have a way easier cleanup and are fun for the kids to each pick out their own special one! Now that my kids are getting older I have decided that I want to help other parents and individuals going through all the stress I did trying to find that perfect dessert so I am opening my kitchen up and making cupcakes (as well as yummy cookies if preferred) to order. They will be amazingly fresh and yummy on the day you need them! I will admit right now I am not a professional baker or decorator in no way but I have had many compliments on my baking over the years and I never have leftovers so I have the confidence you will love everything as much as we do :)

Good morning everyone!!!! I have some great news that I am so excited to share!!! Lily Bean Cookies & Cupcakes is officially open for orders for August 1st and forward!!!

We are so excited to start baking again and have sourced some new 100% pure vanilla extracts made here in Canada that we will be trying in our recipes this week that we are super excited about!!!

Hey everyone!!! First off I wanted to apologize for going MIA this last almost a year.
My health really took a down hill decline and I had to give up on my baking for awhile but I am happy to say things are on the up and I am looking to start taking smaller orders coming this July possibly!!!

Now to explain what has been happening because my condition is a rare one and more people ahould know about it!! I have a condition called IIH (Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension). It is a condition where for some unknown reason I get a buildup of cerebral spinal fluid built up around my brain which causes massive pressure on my brain and an extreme amount of pain. I am on a high dose of medications now that control the pressure but unfortunately the medications cause severe brain fog (memory loss, loss of correct words, confusion, etc). I also had to have Cervical Spinal surgery in March due to a herniated disk causing nerve pain and weakness in both arms which was a total success and I am almost back to new now!!

Now back to the good stuff! With my daughters help of course I have made a plan so I can get back to the baking I love doing!!!

I will keep everyone updated as time goes on and I have been in contact with the SPCA to hopefully work with them this summer on some events so I really hope ya'll haven't totally given up on me yet!!!
