Something that I love about community is diversity of passion!

What I mean by that is that one person can be passionate about improving healthcare, another about relieving poverty, another about advocating for more active and vibrant cities, making our city more accessible, and so many other important initiatives!

We're not all passionate about the same thing, but together we're working towards a community that works for everyone!

One of the things that lights a fire under me is youth empowerment... giving our young people the chance to learn, grow, and thrive in our communities!

This is why, when Young Millionaires reached out about collaborating, we immediately jumped at the opportunity and proposed a Young Millionaires Market in our Gardens, a market made 100% up of youth taking their first shot at entrepreneurship!

Now... can I make an emotional plea to our customers?

These youth are potentially the future employers and leaders of PEI! They are taking their first, fragile shot at entrepreneurship, and a successful first shot could ignite a lifelong passion!

Even leaving with $100 in their hands would mean so much to them!

On the other hand, if they sit there for several hours with no customers, that passion could fizzle.

I am probably never going to say this again, but today when you come to Holman's with your $5–$10 to spend on ice cream, I would much rather you head into our Gardens to spend that money at one of the young millionaires than at our shop!

I mean, ideally, you get an ice cream AND support the Young Millionaires, of course, but if the choice is between the two, please spend it on our youth!!!

And if your at the Downtown Summerside Classic Car Night tonight we hope you'll take a quick trip up to our gardens to take a look at what is being offered!

We took the family to go visit the new neighbors today!

HFC Take-Out just moved into the old Scotiabank Building and we couldn't be more excited to have them as part of the Downtown Summerside family!

We had great food, a giant portion (the four of us couldn't finish two meals), and it was all reasonably priced!

It has been so great seeing so many new restaurants move into Downtown over the past couple of years!

Drop Hoss's Fish and Chips a follow on their socials and don't forget to stop in for a meal next time you are Downtown!

Ok, so be honest with me!!

When you eat a S'MORE are you a traditional Graham Cracker, Chocolate and Marshmallow Guy / Gal OR are you one of those fancy hip Celebration Cookie and Marshmallow people?

No judgement, just curious how many of each are out there!!! Or is there a new S'MORES method that I haven't heard of????

No matter how you enjoy your S'MORE I am certain S'MORE ice cream will be a hit!

To make this we literally blend our ice cream with Toasted Marshmallows and then add a Chocolate Swirl and Graham Crust!
