Yesterday we took the short drive to Ingersoll to try Louie's Pizza and Pasta. What a hidden gem this places is. We heard they served up an amazing Caesar and panzarotti so we definitely had to try. The Caesar was almost a meal itself, complete with a nice size slice of lemon and lime, a stick of celery, pickle slice and pepperette.
For dinner we had a SMALL panzarotti. I must say it was huge. The small is bigger than most places large . Neither of us could finish a small. Crust was crisp and delicious. Inside was loaded with cheese and I chose pepperoni bacon and green olives.
Our server was super helpful and friendly atmosphere was great . I was happy to see proper Covid-19 protocol in place.
I can't wait to go back and try pizza next . If you haven't made the trip yet I highly recommend you bring your appetite you're gonna need it .

Demetre's Family Eatery

Today Shawn and I went to Demetre's for Date Day!
From the moment we walked in, until the time we left 2hrs later, the service and atmosphere were amazing! A wonderful, relaxed atmosphere... definitely somewhere to unwind after a long week.
We were seated quickly, and our server was there within seconds with menus and asking what we would like to drink. Gave us plenty of time to look thru the menu to find our choices.

We started with appetizers, garlic bread with cheese and mozza sticks. Holy. Wasn't expecting the portion size!! Was pleasantly surprised at that! And they were delicious!

I decided to get the Demetre's Chicken Club Wrap with fries, and a side of gravy.
Everything was wonderfully fresh in this Wrap!
Grilled chicken breast, bacon, Romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and mayo, tightly wrapped then lightly toasted in a Tortilla wrap. It was light and filling at the same time. This is definitely one of my go tos.
The fries were crisp and hot and lightly salted and tasted heavenly ( I don't normally eat fries anymore, so this was a great treat). Shawn had the Canadian burger which he said never disappointed. It looked superb. He said its in the top 3 best in Stratford.

For dessert, I had the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake. It was superb!! A nice, thick slice with fruits and a drizzle of caramel sauce. I'm a sucker for a great cheesecake and this one definitely didn't disappoint!

Demetre's Family Eatery is a place where you can go with anyone... it's relaxed, the food is great and the service was outstanding! It has definitely become one of our favorite places!

Today we had the pleasure of eating at Freelands Diner .

Serivce was excellent and our server had a great personality he was attentive and was awesome to engage with.

I had the Monte Cristo. It was cooked to perfection with the added touch of sliced cooked apples with a hint of cinnamon. I've never had that added to a Monte Cristo before and I really enjoyed it .
It was served with grated hasbrowns seasoned just right with a nice cup of hot coffee I must add that the coffee was very good as well .

I give my meal and Freelands a big thumbs up .

Here's what Chris Steep said about his time at Freelands Diner

Made it over to Freelands at the end of Downie Street. It was not busy at all, which is a shame because it should be. The staff is extremely pleasant and the food was great.
I had the Jeffy Burger with cheese, peameal bacon and a fried egg. It made a bit of a mess, but if a burger isn't making a mess it's not a burger in my eyes.
I would highly recommend this place, with great food great service and atmosphere. We will be going again for sure.

The visit to Freelands Diner went very well I thought. I had the bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries and gravy. Gotta have that gravy with the fries. This is not a standard burger. The burger was perfectly cooked. The bun was right on the money as well. The fries were on point. All in all, it was portioned fairly well. Our service was great. He was very attentive to our individual needs. Freelands Diner will definitely get another visit from me.

I thought it may be a great idea to introduce ourselves. There are four of us working this page. My wife Jobyna, Chris Steep Melissa Van de Byl and myself. We did our first review on Saturday at a local establishment. It turned out very well.

Had lunch at Freelands Diner on Saturday. Ordered the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap with a side caeser salad.
Holy! The wrap was huge! Filled to the brim with fresh lettuce and wonderfully grilled chicken in a light Caesar dressing. The side salad was just a delicious! Kudos to the chef ( which was Jeff Freeland)
Our server was fantastic! Very friendly and helpful when we were ordering, attentive to our needs ( refills on coffee, water etc).
I highly recommend the perfectly quaint Diner. It's a fabulous place to meet up with friends and enjoy a great meal and catch up on life!

We're just starting this page off so, there won't be a lot happening right away. My wife, myself and two friends have decided to review restaurants on this page and tell you all about the experiences we had while being there. We do hope it creates more exposure and more business for them. They've had a rough year with C-19. Every little bit helps. We do hope that everyone enjoys this page. If you have any constructive ideas for us. Let us know.
