Art-punk rock’n’roll outfit The Dinner Is Ruined brings three decades of noise, craft, and chaos to The Bunker this October.
The band is fronted by Dale Morningstar, owner/operator/producer of the Gas Station Recording Studio, whose credits behind the board include Gord Downie, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Thrush Hermit, The Inbreds, and Julie Doiron. He’s joined by legendary drummer David Clark (Rheostatics and more) and low-end master Dr. Johnny P*e on keys.
Over 30-plus years, the trio has released nine albums, toured Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Mali, West Africa, opened for the likes of Sonic Youth and Beck, and played the storied stage of Massey Hall. They’ve also logged time as members of Gord Downie and the Country of Miracles, contributing to three-plus albums, and have guested on countless soundtracks, sessions, and film and dance scores along the way. Their new album, Like a Tree, Heroic, is just out on vinyl.
