We were sad to hear on Sunday that Stittsville lost a true gem. A passionate champion of tourism in Ottawa, as well as other parts of Canada, her work had a positive impact on the hospitality industry, including small businesses like ours.
On a personal note, Chef Reggie had the honour of building a friendship with Jen over the past number of years. Having been diagnosed with a cancer she knew would take her, she would often stop by for Scratch Box and some laughter, post-chemo. She was an amazing woman and was someone Reg looked forward to seeing.
To Jen’s family, we know the pain is intense right now. We hope that you know that while her light has been extinguished, her impact lives on. Rest easy, Jen.
