Sunset Gourmet has partnered with Canadian Feed The Children, working with local partners Internationally and in Canada to enhance the well-being of children and the self-sufficiency of their families and communities. Almond Fruit Cake Sunset Gourmet Style

• 1 pkg. Almond Cream Cake Mix
• 3/4 cup almond milk (or any kind of milk)
• 1/3 cup oil
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, roughly chopped
• 1/2 cup combined dried cranberries, sliced almonds, and pecan pieces
• Flour for coating the fruit and nuts

Preheat oven to 350°F

In a bowl of flour add your maraschino cherries and mix until covered. Shake off excess flour; set aside in a separate bowl. Do the same with the dried fruit and nuts.

Mix Almond Cream Cake according to instructions on box. Fold in the floured fruit and nuts. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake for 60-70 minutes check by inserting a toothpick in the centre. If it comes out dry then it’s done. Cool before cutting.
