Thank you so much to everyone who came out for frybread tacos! We are so grateful for your support we decided to not only make a donation to the Gord Downie & Chanie Wenjack Fund but we also made a donation to True North Aid which helps Indigenous peoples all over Canada with particular focus on remote populations that face extra challenges getting to the most basic of necessities.

On September 24, 2025, the community of St.Peters lost Louie Boudreau, a true pillar. Not only a devoted husband and father to his family, but a boss, friend and teacher to all of his staff. Louie ran restaurants all over Richmond County. The Sky Motel, the cafeteria at the paper mill (Stora), the Richmond Arena, his catering team, the Cosy Corner and Jiggs. Just to name a few.

His many contributions to the community will always be remembered; from his meat pies at the L'Ardoise festival, to feeding hungry school kids, to giving flowers to nurses on nurses day.

In collaboration, staff at Jiggs and the Cosy Corner will be hosting a Louie's Tribute Day on August 30th to celebrate the life and legacy of Louie and to honor his passions! Louie loved a true Cape Breton kitchen party! 🍻

Please join us August 30th and celebrate this day! Bring your friends and family, tell us some stories, have some lunch or dinner, and donate if you can. ❤️All proceeds will be donated in Louie's name to the new Dialysis unit at the Strait Richmond Hospital.

Live music on the patio will be from 1-5pm not 3-7 pm as shown on the poster. The band is East of Sixty.
