september 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation & Orange Shirt Day 🧡
this year, we’re helping make it a little easier for our community to come together, listen, learn and take part.
on Wednesday, September 30th, complimentary bus transportation will be available from Sauble Beach to the gathering at Cape Croker Park in Neyaashiinigmiing, hosted by the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation.
the bus will depart from The Dunes promptly at 3pm, make a stop in Wiarton, and continue on to Cape Croker Park, with transportation back to Sauble Beach following the event.
this ride is open to anyone and everyone in the Sauble Beach area who would like to attend. our hope is to provide greater accessibility for those wanting the opportunity to listen, learn and take part, as well as those who may otherwise have difficulty getting there. 🧡
space on the bus will be limited, so advance registration will be required. please send us a private message with your name and the number of people in your party if you’re reserving for more than yourself.
we’re grateful to be able to help connect our community with an opportunity to gather, remember and learn more about the history of the lands and communities that surround us.
we remain committed to supporting and learning from all of the Indigenous communities around us, and we’re grateful to our neighbours in Saugeen First Nation and Neyaashiinigmiing for the opportunities they provide our wider community to listen, learn and come together.
everyone is welcome. come to listen, come to learn and come together. 🧡
