The Haze (Restaurant and Store) The Haze was a eat in/takeout seasonal restaurant in Scott's Bay. It is now the home of The Long Ta Then it hit us. "We could do that."

Casual Seasonal Dining Restaurant with great food and endless sunsets. The idea for The Haze started when I group of family members were sitting around their table in Scott's Bay and wishing someone would reopen a restaurant in the area. Where does our name come from? Most would assume it would have to do with the geographical features of the area. Particularly, that there are often foggy hazes ca

rried in by the changing tides. If you guessed this, you're partially right. It was actually inspired by a neighbour who recently passed away, Hazel Tupper. She was like a grandmother to the community. Many folks would stop in at her place and get a tea or coffee (possibly a treat) and catch up on the local gossip. We miss her and wanted The Haze to be a tribute to her and those small community ties we have with each other. You now, the ones where you can stop by just because you feel like it and everyone knows you. We are open seasonally from Mid May until Thanksgiving in October
