How to surprise Dad this Father’s Day weekend:

Step 1: Tell Dad you’re going for a country drive on Saturday.

Step 2: Promise him pineapple Dole Whip soft serve, sticky wings, pizza and one of our naughty adult sundaes along the way.

Step 3: Don’t mention the succulent planting class until you’re already in the parking lot.

Step 4: By the time he realizes what’s happening, he’ll be elbow-deep in soil building his own tripod planter — and secretly loving it. 🌵

He’ll leave with a gorgeous planter full of succulents he built himself (and bragging rights). 🌵

Most people fall in love with succulents for their sculptural leaves, incredible colours and forms. Fair enough.

But here’s what catches people off guard every time — the under appreciated succulent bloom.

Right now in the greenhouse, a lot of our residents are putting on a show. As with all blooms, these little blooms don’t last forever — and that’s exactly what makes them worth stopping by for. Actually, succulent blooms are quite long lived compared to a lot of other flowers.

📍 Come for the succulents, stay for everything else.
