Maybe you heard, maybe you didnt, maybe you knew all along, the eternal truth that the only constant is change.

Our island's beloved KIZMIT galeria/cafe has announced permanent closure. Alas, do not despair! One reclaimed barn door closes, another vintage paned window opens.

What's next for Humsa the good food truck? Announcements to come soon!

In the mean time, let's reflect on and share all of the deliciously lazy space and time kizmit has held for us.

Well, here we are tip toeing to the beginnings of autumn in the Pacific Northwest. As always, I greet this change with many mixed feelings- some relief at the near end of summer busyness, some fomo at the missed opportunities of sunshine, and of course the celebration of summer bounty and all the wonderful dishes and colours that come from it, including this rockstar soup!
