Hundreds of years ago in the highlands of Ethiopia, a goat herder named Kaldi noticed his herd bouncing with unusual energy after eating bright red berries from a wild bush. Monks nearby heard about it, experimented with roasting and brewing those same berries to stay awake through long prayers, and inadvertently started a ritual that would span the entire globe.

That Ethiopian origin is the backbone of our Zesty House Blend. We wanted a roast that honors that history while fitting effortlessly into your daily routine, no matter how you make your coffee.

If you pull it as an espresso, you get a rich, thick shot topped with a smooth crema and a bright, lingering finish. If you prefer a slow pour-over, those subtle floral and fruity undertones open up completely for a clean, comforting cup.

Look closely at the photo and you can see the whole story unfolding: whole roasted beans waiting on the right, fresh grounds ready to go on the left, and the portafilter right in the middle about to bring it all together.
