That was the day we held the drawing of our Grad Giveaway 2026 where one lucky person won 11.4l of ice cream in any flavour of their choosing.

That lucky person was Sabrina Vance who was able to collect their prize on the same day! We're only able to follow-up today because, well... we've been a tad busy. 😅

Yes friends, dulse is back at the shop (it's actually been in for a couple of days but things have been... busy).

Direct from the shores of Dark Harbour, Grand Manan, it's only the best dulse for our customers. High in iron, rich in a multitude of essential vitamins and a Maritime delicacy. Is it even summer if you HAVEN'T had a bite or two?

Not familiar? Seaweed is harvested, from the Bay of Fundy, and dried naturally. Locals know it, love it and eat it so many different ways you may not know which to try first!

Happy Father's Day!

Because dad always gets the short shrift, for today only, we've got a special offer for the dad in your life. We've got the "Turtles" Sundae!

Soft vanilla ice cream gets topped with hot fudge, caramel, chocolate whipped cream AND crushed pecans. It's so good that our taste-testers couldn't get enough! The one pictured didn't last much longer than it took to take the pic!

For Father's Day, we've got a unique treat for ol' pops... it's the "Turtles" Sundae

Starting off with a helping of the-best-anywhere soft ice cream we add hot fudge and caramel toppings. But it doesn't end there because then we add chocolate whipped cream and top it off with crushed pecans.

All of that, for one day only, for just $8.00 (tax included) AND we've even got a gift for Dad (while supplies last)

Not dad's thing? How about a gift certificate? Dad can get whatever he'd like AND, of course, gift cards make great gifts for that special someone celebrating a birthday.

This past Wednesday (June 16th), we had a number of Pete's Kids 2014 (aka the Fundy Middle & High School Grad Class of 2026) make a return trip for another of our Grad traditions.

This one was dreamt up by Pete herself. She wanted each kindergarten class, that originally came from St. George Elementary School, to return to Pete's for an ice cream. A second trip to bookend their "school career."

Unfortunately Pete never got to see the first class return. The kindergarten class of 1992 graduated high school in June 2004. Pete died November 2003. Mary, and Carol Harris when she was able, honored Pete's wish and kept the new tradition going. We lost Carol in 2020 but we press on in both of their memories.

It was a tremendous turn out and everyone looked smart in their post-rehearsal garb. Not only did everyone get an ice cream but everyone got a special gift from a draw.

Thanks, so much, Pete's Kids 2014/Class of 2026 for coming back. It means more to us than you probably know. :)

Graduation exercises are taking place, all across the land, and we wanted to take a moment to extend our congratulations to everyone in the Graduating Class of 2026.

It may have been difficult but you've done it. Whether it's moving up to Elementary/Middle/High School, University, a trade school or even just taking a breath to figure out the next step... it's all good. You've met a great accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself for achieving.

We're proud of you and know that great things lie ahead in your futures. We're excited to see all of the amazing things you're going to accomplish in the months and years to come.

Attention FMHS Graduating Class of 2026 who were in either Mrs Harris' or Mrs Charron's St George Elementary School's kindergarten classes, who visited Pete's in 2014...

Tomorrow, Wednesday June 17th, we would like you to come to Pete's after grad rehearsal. We have a special little "celebration" of your kindergarten visit to the shop and we'd like to add a group photo to your picture frame.

We'd love to see you (if you were in either of those kindergarten classes) if you can make it. :)
