Established on July 1, 1967, Lipa Park became the new cultural home to Slovenians in the Niagara region. Slovenia is a beautiful and geographically diverse country in central Europe, gaining independence from the former Yugoslavia in 1991. Bordering Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, this tiny country of only two million encompasses both Alpine and Meiterranean climates. Lipa Park is situated on
13 acres of wooded and manicured grounds, and includes a 350-seat, fully air conditioned hall, and a large outdoor pavilion. The hall and grounds can be rented for weddings, showers, anniversaries, and life's great celebrations, and are also uniquely suited for corporate events and banquets. The home-style/family-style food is renowned, and flexible menus are available. Lipa Park hosts several events throughout the year that are open to the public, and hosts one of the most lively Open Houses during the St. For current events, see the listing in the "Notes" tab, or go to www.lipapark.ca/events
