Cheesy Turkey Quesadilla?! IDK 🤷🏻‍♀️

I melted some cheddar cheese on the pan and placed the tortilla on it until it formed a crust. For the tortilla filling, I fried up some garlic, shallots and then added ground turkey, with some tomato paste, chicken broth and taco seasoning, garlic and onion powder, & paprika, then added potatoes, green peas and corn kernels.
Now fill the tortilla with some ground meat mixture and mozzarella, and toast it up in the pan! I also made a side of cheesy sauce for dipping. (Evap, Swiss and pepper jack cheese, a little cornstarch)

Drove 🚗 almost an hour for a taste of Okanagan peaches 🍑 with prosciutto, fresh basil and shaved Parmesan and mushroom pizza on sourdough crust then dipped with truffle aioli from Wild Flour Pizza Co

Usually I just people watch when I dine out, but this view is a welcome change 😊

KOI Japanese Restaurant | Richmond recently opened and being conveniently located at a bus/train station with a park and ride parking lot, didn’t see what would stop me from trying this place out. Also saw Alana Yee - Vancouver Food mentioned they’re opened by the same team from KUN'S OMAKASE BAR in Steveston, so it’s gotta be good 👍

I like the light and crunchy batter they did on the ebi fritters, quite unique compared to other Japanese restaurants. The sunset roll was definitely filling with fresh salmon and uni paste. And the tobiko they used to roll it ain’t the cheap kind either 👌

Was truly hoping to try the lunch teishoku but quite a few options were not available. In fact a table of 6 (4 kids), almost walked out cause apparently the kids would only eat unagi and karaage don. So if you’re planning on going for the lunch sets, a call wouldn’t hurt. (I didn’t mean to eavesdrop but their voices were pretty loud 🤫).

I don’t know if there’s history behind these 2, but if you served me (blindfolded) donuts from m e l l o and Goldie's Donuts & Bakery I would not be able to tell the difference 😳. All I know is? They’re both my favorite kind. Soft, fluffy, even the day after. The sweetness just right, not the overly kind.

It’s been a year since I had m e l l o from their Chinatown branch. Glad to see they’re now in the new Time Out Market Vancouver makes for picking up these delicious treats easier with free parking, and convenience of being so near a Canada Line station.

It’s also one of the few merchants that still has a long line and there’s a limit of 4 donuts per person. But it’s fast and worth it!

Seeing White Spot Restaurants closing shop one branch at a time got me in a panic. I love their Zoo Sticks (zucchini), almost scared to think where else would I find these if all the branches close, ack!! 😰

Until July 19, White Spot Restaurants will be donating partial proceeds to Canada Soccer foundation to support youth soccer in BC. What a good incentive to order their Bacon Cheddar Burger. Oh, and I didn’t know that they offer fries. And don’t think that the salad was an after thought, I love Caesar salads ♥️, especially when they put a lot of Parmesan on it 😂
