They say the sense of smell works hand in hand with memories, and they aren't wrong.

Presley and I made a peach crisp yesterday and once that first faint smell of peaches, cinnamon and brown sugar hit my nose I was transported back to my childhood. Sitting there with my Grandma as she read the paper or flyers and I watched whatever baseball game was on that night. Memories I completely forgot about but as the aroma filled the house I was flooded with them. To top it off asked me to make some meatballs and mashed potatoes for her meal after a birth. This meal was one that no matter what Grandma would make me whenever I asked.

If they're around, call your Grandparents, ask for the recipes, enjoy that time and cherish every second.
